Each year, the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame and Museum host an annual Induction Banquet each year in Red Deer, Alberta and this year it is esspecially important as it is the 60th Anniversary on Friday May 26, 2017. It is an opportunity to honour Alberta's great athletes, sport builders, pioneers and media personnel. There are over 600 people who travel across provinces and from the United States to attend this elegant gala. There are 10 extrodinary Albertans who have made a significatnt impact on sport in our province, country and world who are honoured. Althletes include participants and winners of World Championships and Olympic Performers. Builders are those who have spent countless hours growing a sport into wha it currently is. These athletes and builders have grown their sport and are truly deserving of this prestigious honour! This event not only honours these great Albertans but also recognizes the importance of sport on our lives and communities.
Since it's inception in 1957, hundreds of Albertans have been inducted into the Hall of Fame. We invite everyone to join us in this celebration of both new Inductees and returning Honoured Members, and their lasting impact on sport in our province.
