MATT

Like a windrow in the middle of the street, Central Alberta just can’t get rid of me. I’ve lived here for almost 15 years and have gone from single to married dad, news reporter to morning show host, and bad golfer to…bad golfer with nicer clubs. Because the golf pro dream has died, I’ve really got to make this radio thing work…so you’d better believe my news updates, food rants and 80’s pop rock knowledge will be turned up to 11, every morning.

Hi, I’m Ted.  You might know me from the Oh, Deer… podcast – we have tens of fans – but probably not. In a nutshell, I am a 34 year-old man who likes to play dress-up, listen to Backstreet Boys, and wear backwards hats (so that you know I’m cool). I am what you might call a “Red Deer Transplant” (I moved here from Calgary in 2015), but I am proud to call it my home. The Central Alberta community is unlike any other, and I am excited for the chance to connect with the amazing people in it every morning with the much more talented and handsome Matt. I’m a big music fan, and you better believe that while you’re singing along with radio at the top of your lungs, I am doing the exact same thing in the studio, which I’m sure Matt is real excited about. I love giving back to the community as well, so you’ll probably spot me out and about Central Alberta at various events… or even more likely on a golf course or in line at your favourite fast food restaurant. 

 

All in all, I guess you could say I am a pretty not bad guy.
